Reclaim Your Joy.

Return To Your Roots.

Therapy is not about becoming someone new. It's about reconnecting with the wisdom, wholeness, and beauty that already exist within you.

The Heart Behind Joyful Roots Counseling

Meet Nya Joy

Welcome! I'm Nya, a Therapist, Poet, and Creative at heart. Drawing inspiration from Pan-African and Indigenous traditions alongside evidence-based therapeutic practices, I bring together creativity, holistic wellness, and counseling in my work. I strive to create a warm, compassionate space where all parts of you are welcome, without judgment or pressure. I'm excited about the possibility of being part of your journey back home to yourself.

“The white fathers told us: I think, therefore I am. The Black mother within each of us—the poet—whispers in our dreams: I feel, therefore I can be free.” - Audre Lorde
